Why acidity is the signal: estrogen feeds glycogen in the lining, lactobacilli turn it into lactic acid, and that holds the pH between about 3.8 and 4.5. Most of the signs in this table are that acidity holding or slipping.
A home pH strip above 4.5 is a prompt to see someone, never a diagnosis.
